Mind, Body, Soul & COVID-19

Since the start of the pandemic, I've made it a point to prioritize wellness, which is not only personally rewarding but also enables me to stay balanced for my family in these unprecedented times.  Over the past 4 months, I've lost 20lbs and improved my quality of life by refining my nutrition and fitness routine. The most rewarding part is becoming the motivational catalyst for Mahera Khanshab to take on a similar feat.

Much of my recent lifestyle transformation can be attributed to my trainer, Nick Bardsley.Werkdout training was born out of the idea that he could help more people stay active during the pandemic lockdown by providing live home workouts free of charge for 3 months. He has since established his business and offers daily virtual workouts and nutrition coaching.

The pandemic has created an imbalance of routine and volatility of our emotions. The best way I know how to combat life's uncertainty is to nurture the mind, body and soul. Support a small business and hold each accountable to improve our quality of life. If I have motivated you to start focusing on your wellness, let me know and I can share more about my experience.

Together, Small Acts Of Kindness Are More Powerful Than One

Together, Small Acts of Kindness Are More Powerful Than One Together, we recently mourned the loss of Bill Haggerty and offered our condolences to the Haggerty family. Together, as a united force, we acted on empathy and showcased community support by graciously donating $3,400 to Bill's memorial fund as a token to his family.   Together, a group of friends priortized the well being of Bill's younger sibling and one of my best friends, Dan Haggerty. A getaway in the mountains offered him a moment of peace by riding his late brother's board on the slopes. Together, we offered strength and solace to the Haggerty family during this tragic time. Together, our intrinisc motivation to uplift the Haggertys led to small acts of kindness that had a multiplier effect to the love and support we provided. Now more than ever, the world is desperate for good deeds. Share your good deed and be the catalyst for others to follow. Photo of Dan Haggerty with Bill Haggerty's snowboard Phot...

In Memory of Dear Christina Saragaglia

I want to thank everyone who participated in the fundraiser for  Christina Saragaglia . It has been an amazing effort that we should feel proud of.  I remember waking up in the middle of the night  staring at the ceiling thinking about  Christina and her family.  I  was apprehensive to the idea of reaching out to the community in search of support for this cause.  I went with my gut feeling and the community response was an overwhelming positive energy during a time of unexplicable grief. In just a few days, together we raised a total of $6,571 for the Saragaglia Family. It is evident how much Stina is loved and also how much she will be missed. God bless America. I miss your laugh. Motivation Catalyst Outcome: $6K Donated to Family United community for a positive contribution

Firefighters to the rescue in 'The War Against COVID-19'

Noah Mueller and the rest of FDNY are being dispatched daily to respond to COVID-19 house call cases. Many of these individuals are fighting for their last breath and require CPR. It's an unprecedented calling and first responders are risking infection of the deadly virus with limited personal protection equipment available. It is no surprise, Noah and the FDNY, are seizing the opportunity to save lives, regardless of the extreme conditions of this pandemic. A couple years ago, I remember asking Noah to share a hero story from his 10+ years as a NYC firefighter. True to the firehouse culture,  refused to accept recognition of heroism and   instictually responded  with a sarcastic story about saving a cat. Firefigthers run towards danger which is an admirable testimant to these brave Frontliners during this pandemic. Mahera and I would like to collaborate on a  fundraiser  where all contributions go to Noah's firehouse "nosh fund" (firehouse meals su...
